The deck sacrifices with Ashnod's Altar, Witch's Oven and Viscera Seer, rewards Food sacrifices with Camellia, Trail of Crumbs and Nuka-Cola Vending Machine, and drains the table with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat and Mirkwood Bats.

01The Commander
Ygra, Eater of All is a five-mana 6/6 with ward—sacrifice a Food. Other creatures are Food artifacts with '{2}, tap, sacrifice: gain 3 life'.
Whenever a Food goes to the graveyard from the battlefield, Ygra gets two +1/+1 counters. Every creature death, yours or an opponent's, counts.
Because creatures are Food, sacrificing a creature also triggers Food payoffs like Camellia, the Seedmiser, Trail of Crumbs and Experimental Confectioner.

10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with three lands, a ramp piece and a sacrifice outlet or Food maker. Ygra on turn four or five is ideal.
Early gameturns 1-3
Play Gilded Goose, Viscera Seer and Food makers.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Cast Ygra, then sacrifice creatures for value. Each death grows Ygra.
Late gameturn 8+
Wipe with Bane of Progress or Toxic Deluge, drain with Blood Artist, and swing with a huge Ygra.
Tips
- Ygra makes opponents' creatures Food too, so their deaths grow Ygra.
- Ward—sacrifice a Food means opponents must sacrifice a creature to target Ygra.
- Creature sacrifices trigger 'sacrifice a Food' payoffs with Ygra out.
- Artifact removal hits every creature while Ygra is out.
Common mistakes
- Casting artifact wipes that kill your own board without a plan.
- Overextending into wipes without Heroic Intervention.
- Forgetting opponents can sacrifice their creature-Food for life.
- Running out of fodder.
Watch out for
- Exile removal on Ygra.
- Graveyard hate on Cauldron Familiar.
- Artifact removal from opponents.
- Life gain decks that blunt your drain.
