Our Necrobloom list is Abzan lands matter. Every land you play makes a Plant token, or a 2/2 Zombie once you have seven differently named lands, and land cards in your graveyard gain dredge 2.
The deck plays extra lands with Azusa and Exploration, sacrifices lands with Crop Rotation, Harrow and Squandered Resources, replays them with Ramunap Excavator and Walk-In Closet, and turns every land drop into an army with Avenger of Zendikar and Rampaging Baloths.

01The Commander
The Necrobloom is a four-mana 2/7. Landfall: create a 0/1 Plant. If you control seven or more lands with different names, create a 2/2 Zombie instead.
Land cards in your graveyard have dredge 2. Instead of drawing, you can return a land from your graveyard to hand and mill two, which puts more lands in the graveyard.
Our list has lots of nonbasic lands, so Zombies arrive quickly. Every land drop after that is a 2/2.

Azusa, Lost but Seeking, Exploration, Dryad of the Ilysian Grove and Oracle of Mul Daya let you play several lands each turn.

Crop Rotation, Harrow and Squandered Resources sacrifice lands, then Ramunap Excavator, Walk-In Closet and Splendid Reclamation bring them back.

10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with three lands, ramp and ideally an extra-land-drop card. The Necrobloom on turn three or four is ideal.
Early gameturns 1-3
Ramp with Farseek or Sakura-Tribe Elder and play Exploration or Azusa, Lost but Seeking.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Cast The Necrobloom and play several lands a turn. Use dredge to rebuy lands.
Late gameturn 8+
Swarm with Avenger of Zendikar or Rampaging Baloths, replay everything with Splendid Reclamation, and drain with Mirkwood Bats.
Tips
- Dredge replaces a draw, so use it when you need lands more than cards.
- Seven lands with different names switch Plants to Zombies. Nonbasics help.
- Fetch lands are two landfall triggers.
- Titania makes a 5/3 every time you sacrifice a land.
Common mistakes
- Dredging away cards you need.
- Sacrificing lands with no way to replay them.
- Overextending tokens into a wipe.
- Ignoring graveyard hate at the table.
Watch out for
- Graveyard hate.
- Land destruction.
- Board wipes.
- Removal on The Necrobloom.
