01The Commander

Omnath, Locus of the Void is a seven-mana colorless Elemental. It gets +1/+1 for each unspent mana you have.

If you would lose unspent mana, that mana becomes colorless instead, so it stays in your pool from step to step and turn to turn.

Landfall gives you {C}{C} every time a land enters. Build mana over a turn cycle, then cast a titan.

    Keep hands with three or four lands and fast mana like Sol Ring, Mana Vault or Thran Dynamo.

    Tips

    • Omnath keeps mana between steps and turns, so tap out at the end of an opponent's turn to bank mana.
    • Omnath gets bigger with every point of unspent mana you hold.
    • Kozilek and Ulamog's cast triggers need you to actually cast them.
    • Echoes of Eternity copies every colorless spell, including titans.

    Common mistakes

    • Spending banked mana on small spells instead of a titan.
    • Forgetting the mana becomes colorless, so colored costs need fresh colored mana.
    • Holding Mana Vault tapped and taking damage every turn.
    • Casting All Is Dust while you rely on colored permanents.

    Watch out for

    • Artifact wipes.
    • Counterspells on titans.
