Bracket 3 · Our Nissa, Leyline Tamer decklist · Lands Matter
Our Nissa list is four-color landfall with huge creatures. Nissa draws a card for every land you play, and the first landfall each turn puts the next creature from your library onto the battlefield for free.
The deck plays extra lands with Walking Atlas, PuPu UFO and Zell Dincht, replays lands with Crucible of Worlds and Ruin Ghost, and cheats in giants like Jin-Gitaxias, Elesh Norn and Archon of Cruelty.

01The Commander
Nissa, Leyline Tamer is a seven-mana Elf Wizard with deathtouch and vigilance.
Whenever a land you control enters, draw a card. The first time this resolves each turn, reveal cards from the top of your library until you reveal a creature, put it onto the battlefield, and put the rest on the bottom.
Nearly every creature in the deck costs five or more, so every free creature is a big one.
02How This Deck Wins
- 1
Ramp to Nissa
Talismans, Chromatic Lantern, Land Tax and Dark Ritual get you to seven mana.
- 2
Play lands every turn
Each land draws with Nissa, and the first one each turn cheats in a creature. Walking Atlas, Ruin Ghost and Crucible of Worlds keep landfall going.
- 3
Win with giants
Free creatures like Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur and Summon: Bahamut take over the game.

09Combos and Key Interactions
Nissa, Leyline Tamer + Spark Double
A nonlegendary copy of Nissa doubles your landfall draws, and each Nissa cheats in a creature once a turn.
Nissa, Leyline Tamer + Elesh Norn, Mother of Machines
Lands entering trigger Nissa twice, so you draw two cards per land.
Gandalf, Shadow's Foe + Nissa, Leyline Tamer
Gandalf flickers three lands on entry, so Nissa draws three and cheats in a creature.
10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with three or four lands and a mana rock or Land Tax. Nissa costs seven, so ramp matters.
Early gameturns 1-3
Play Talismans, Land Tax and card selection like Ponder.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Add Walking Atlas or Ruin Ghost, and cast Nissa as early as you can.
Late gameturn 8+
Play a land every turn to draw and cheat in a giant, then win with Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite or Summon: Bahamut.
Tips
- Only the first Nissa landfall each turn reveals a creature, but every landfall draws.
- Nissa's reveal puts the creature onto the battlefield, so cast triggers don't happen.
- Use Scroll Rack or Brainstorm to put a big creature near the top before playing a land.
- Ruin Ghost and PuPu UFO give extra landfalls on opponents' turns too.
Common mistakes
- Playing your land before Nissa resolves.
- Forgetting Nissa reveals only on the first landfall each turn.
- Casting Supreme Verdict when you control the best creatures.
- Running out of lands in hand.
Watch out for
- Removal on Nissa.
- Counterspells.
- Graveyard hate on Crucible of Worlds.
- Fast aggro before Nissa comes down.
11Bracket and Rule 0
Our list runs 1 Game Changer (Smothering Tithe), within the Bracket 3 limit of three.
The deck cheats in big creatures and has no two-card infinite combos.
