Our Kwia list is Selesnya life gain and tokens. Kwia is a 6/6 lifelink flier, and the first time you gain life each turn it makes a Lotus token that sacrifices for three mana of one color.
The deck gains life from every creature with Soul Warden and Essence Warden, doubles Lotus tokens with Doubling Season and Anointed Procession, draws with Well of Lost Dreams and The Gaffer, and wins with Aetherflux Reservoir, Storm Herd or Craterhoof Behemoth.

01The Commander
Kwia Vigorbloom is a five-mana 6/6 with flying, vigilance, lifelink and ward {2}. Whenever you gain life, you create a Lotus artifact token with '{T}, sacrifice: add three mana of any one color'. That triggers once each turn.
Gain life early in your turn, and the Lotus pays for a big spell right away. Kwia's own lifelink makes a Lotus each time she connects.
Token doublers like Doubling Season, Parallel Lives, Anointed Procession, Mondrak, Glory Dominus and Exalted Sunborn double the Lotus too, so one life gain can make six mana or more.

10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with two or three lands, a dork and a cheap life-gain creature. Kwia on turn four starts the Lotus engine.
Early gameturns 1-3
Play Soul Warden or Essence Warden and dorks like Llanowar Elves.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Cast Kwia and gain life every turn for a Lotus. Add a token doubler or Archangel of Thune.
Late gameturn 8+
Use Lotuses to cast Storm Herd or Craterhoof Behemoth, or fire Aetherflux Reservoir.
Tips
- Gain life before your main spell so the Lotus can pay for it.
- Kwia's Lotus only triggers once each turn, but token doublers multiply that one trigger.
- Lotus tokens are artifacts, so Haliya gains life when they enter.
- Storm Herd scales with your life total. Cast it when you're well above 40.
Common mistakes
- Gaining life after casting your big spell and wasting the Lotus.
- Overextending tokens into a wipe.
- Forgetting Kwia's trigger works on opponents' turns too.
- Paying too much life to Sylvan Library early.
Watch out for
- Effects that stop life gain.
- Board wipes.
- Artifact removal on Aetherflux Reservoir.
- Removal on Kwia despite ward.

Our list runs 2 Game Changers (Smothering Tithe, Teferi's Protection), within the Bracket 3 limit of three.
Aetherflux Reservoir can win suddenly from a high life total, so mention it before the game.
