Bracket 3 · Our Avacyn, Angel of Horror decklist · Reanimator
Our Avacyn list is mono-black aristocrats and reanimator. Avacyn brings back every nontoken creature of yours that dies at the next end step, so sacrifice costs become free value.
The deck sacrifices with Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar and Viscera Seer, repeats death triggers from Fleshbag Marauder and Gray Merchant, and drains the table with Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat and Syr Konrad.

01The Commander
Avacyn, Angel of Horror is an eight-mana flier with deathtouch. Whenever Avacyn or another nontoken creature you control dies, that card returns to the battlefield under your control at the beginning of the next end step.
That includes Avacyn herself, so a wipe or a sacrifice doesn't keep her down for long.
Black cost reducers like Jet Medallion, Bontu's Monument and The Darkness Crystal, plus rituals like Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak, get her out well ahead of schedule.
02How This Deck Wins
- 1
Ramp into Avacyn
Crypt Ghast, Black Market, Dark Ritual and the black cost reducers make eight mana come fast.
- 2
Sacrifice everything
Ashnod's Altar, Phyrexian Altar and Viscera Seer turn creatures into value, and Avacyn returns them at end step.
- 3
Drain the table
Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim and Gray Merchant of Asphodel turn the loop into lethal damage.

09Combos and Key Interactions
Avacyn, Angel of Horror + Gray Merchant of Asphodel
Sacrifice Gray Merchant every turn and it returns at end step to drain again.
Avacyn, Angel of Horror + Damnation
Wipe the board. Your nontoken creatures all return at the next end step.
Fleshbag Marauder + Grave Pact
Every sacrifice strips opponents' boards, and your creatures come back with Avacyn.
10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with three lands, ramp like Dark Ritual or a cost reducer, and a sacrifice outlet. You don't need Avacyn to start the engine.
Early gameturns 1-3
Play Viscera Seer, Blood Artist and cost reducers like Jet Medallion.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Add Crypt Ghast or Black Market and value creatures like Fleshbag Marauder. Use Reanimate or Victimize to cheat in big threats.
Late gameturn 8+
Cast Avacyn, then sacrifice freely. Each end step brings your creatures back for another round of drains.
Tips
- Avacyn returns creatures at the next end step, so sacrifice on your turn for a same-turn return.
- Avacyn only returns nontoken creatures.
- The Sibsig Ceremony destroys creatures you cast, but Avacyn brings them back and you keep the Zombie token.
- Avacyn returns herself when she dies.
Common mistakes
- Wiping the board without Avacyn on the battlefield.
- Sacrificing tokens and expecting them back.
- Overpaying life with Toxic Deluge and K'rrik.
- Forgetting graveyard hate stops end-step returns.
Watch out for
- Exile removal on Avacyn.
- Graveyard hate.
- Effects that stop sacrifice or death triggers.
- Fliers that race your drain.
11Bracket and Rule 0
