Bracket 3 · Our Ashling decklist · Elemental Tribal
Our Ashling list is five-color Elemental tribal built on enter-the-battlefield value. Ashling gives every Elemental you cast from hand an evoke cost of four, and when it is sacrificed you get a hasty token copy back.
In practice, a seven-mana Avenger of Zendikar or Titan of Industry costs four, triggers twice, and leaves a copy behind. The deck stacks Yarok, Panharmonicon and Twinflame Travelers to double those triggers again.

01The Commander
Ashling, the Limitless gives Elemental permanent spells you cast from your hand evoke {4}. Cast one for four mana, it enters, triggers, and is sacrificed.
Ashling's second ability turns that sacrifice into value: whenever you sacrifice a nontoken Elemental, you create a token copy with haste. The copy triggers its enter ability again, attacks immediately, and stays for good if you pay {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} at your next end step.
That means Avenger of Zendikar, Titan of Industry, Lamentation and Mulldrifter all hit the table twice for four mana. Greater Good adds a sacrifice outlet that draws cards and makes another copy.
02How This Deck Wins
- 1
Ramp into four mana
Smokebraider, Flamebraider, Fertile Ground and land ramp get you to Ashling's evoke cost quickly and fix all five colors.
- 2
Evoke big Elementals for double value
Cast Avenger of Zendikar, Titan of Industry or an Incarnation for four. It triggers, dies, and comes back as a hasty token that triggers again.
- 3
Double the triggers
Yarok, the Desecrated, Panharmonicon and Twinflame Travelers make each enter trigger happen twice, so every evoke is four triggers.

09Combos and Key Interactions
Ashling, the Limitless + Avenger of Zendikar
Evoke Avenger for four. It makes a Plant per land, is sacrificed, and comes back as a hasty token that makes the same number of Plants again.
Ashling, the Limitless + Yarok, the Desecrated
Every evoked Elemental triggers twice on entry and twice more as the token copy, for four triggers per four mana.
Ashling, the Limitless + Greater Good
Sacrifice a big Elemental to draw cards equal to its power, and get a hasty token copy of it back.
10How to Play
Opening hand
Keep hands with two or three lands and a mana creature or ramp spell. You want Ashling on turn three and evoking on turn four. Hands that can't make four mana by turn four are a mulligan.
Early gameturns 1-3
Ramp with Smokebraider, Flamebraider or land searches and cast Ashling on turn three.
Mid gameturns 4-7
Evoke your best Elementals for four each turn: Avenger of Zendikar, Titan of Industry, Lamentation or Mulldrifter. Get Yarok, the Desecrated or Panharmonicon down to double everything.
Late gameturn 8+
Pay {W}{U}{B}{R}{G} to keep your best copies, recur Elementals with Horde of Notions or Muldrotha, the Gravetide, and attack with haste from Ashling's tokens or Maelstrom Wanderer.
Tips
- Ashling's evoke works only on Elementals cast from your hand.
- The token copy has haste, so evoke an attacker on your own main phase to swing immediately.
- Changeling tokens from Belonging and Springleaf Parade count as Elementals.
- Decide at each end step which copies are worth {W}{U}{B}{R}{G}.
Common mistakes
- Hard-casting a seven-drop when evoking it for four with Ashling gets more value.
- Forgetting that tokens sacrificed later do not make another copy.
- Running out of colored mana to keep copies.
- Leaving Ashling unprotected; most of the deck's value runs through her.
Watch out for
- Graveyard hate that stops Horde of Notions and Muldrotha.
- Removal on Ashling before your engine pieces land.
- Effects that stop enter-the-battlefield triggers, like Torpor Orb.
- Board wipes after you have overextended tokens.
